Kartel Denied Bail Again

Embattled Dancehall superstar, Adidja Palmer, more popularly known asVybz Kartel will have to wait until at least the week prior to Christmas for his next hearing.

Kartel, who faces two murder-related and one drug-related charge issued following his September 29 arrest, was remanded into police custody following a hearing in the Gun Court Division of the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court Wednesday morning. The presiding magistrate in the matter denied Kartel bail; ordering the Portmore Empire deejay to return to court on December 21 when documents pertaining to one of his murder cases will be served to his defense lawyers.

Additionally, Kartel was handed a February 3, 2012 court date where when a preliminary enquiry relating to the murder of St. Catherine based promoter, Barrington "Bossie" Burton will be given to Kartel defense team.

Kartel, along with two other men, is accused of shooting and killing Burtonwhile he stood on Walker's Lane in Gregory Park, St. Catherine this past July. Additionally, the self-dubbed "Worl'Boss" along with his road manager, Calvin "Moonie" Haye and Empire protégé', Shawn Storm, face murder charges in relation to the killing of St. Catherine based dancer,Clive "Lizard" Williams in August.

Kartel also faces a ganja possession charge stemming from his initial arrest in September at a New Kingston hotel.
